National Ecology Day | YINO BIOLogic Puts Three Low-Carbon Initiatives Into Action

August 15, 2026 marked China's third National Ecology Day. In the Global Energy Review 2026, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions reached a record high of nearly 38.4 billion tonnes in 2025.

 

In July 2026, China's State Council issued the Action Plan for Carbon Peaking during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period (Guofa [2026] No. 22). The plan identifies the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy sector as a key priority and calls for deeper efforts to make industries greener and more energy efficient. By 2030, carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP are to be reduced by 17% from 2025 levels, while non-fossil energy is to account for 25% of total energy consumption. Against this backdrop, the green transition must be put into practice at individual production sites. For chemical companies, energy sources, resource utilization, and energy management throughout the production process are all essential components of green manufacturing. With these priorities in mind, YINO BIO has advanced three initiatives across its production bases in Shandong and Henan.

 

For YINO BIO, green production begins with the choice of raw materials and is rooted in our long-standing exploration of non-food biomass resources. We use corncobs, a non-food biomass resource, as the feedstock for developing bio-based furan products, providing a greener and more sustainable source of raw materials. This approach further promotes the resource recovery of agricultural residues and gives green production a clearer, more traceable starting point.

 

 

The essence of green manufacturing lies in the logic of natural ecosystems: every material used in production should retain value through circulation, rather than being divided simply into "products" and "waste." Furfural residue generated during production is used as fuel in biomass boilers, supported by a combined furfural residue and biomass cogeneration project. Waste heat recovered from the steam turbine is used to supply process steam and heat the production site. The electricity generated annually meets the site's internal energy needs, while surplus steam and heat are also supplied to neighboring enterprises. This closed-loop resource system within the site minimizes the impact of production activities on surrounding ecosystems and turns the principle of economical and intensive development into tangible industrial efficiency.

 

If clean energy is the input of ecological manufacturing and resource circulation is its underlying pattern, then precise energy management is its "nervous system." YINO BIO has begun building an intelligent energy management platform with capabilities including energy flow analysis, carbon footprint accounting, and supply chain carbon management. The platform supports the ongoing diagnosis and optimization of production processes to reduce energy consumption.

 

By continuously tracking energy flows and production data, low-carbon manufacturing can become a routine management practice that is recorded, analyzed, and optimized. It also provides customers with more traceable upstream data to support their sustainable procurement, carbon disclosure, and supply chain carbon management efforts.
